If you're headed to Homestead for the Cup Series championship race, Sunday's 3 p.m. green flag comes with a favorite. Kyle Larson has a 67-point lead over second-place Christopher Bell and a 70-point edge over regular-season champion Denny Hamlin.

NASCAR changed the format this year to a 10-race miniseason where the most points win. The Miami Herald says nine points, a 28th-place finish, would give Larson his second straight title and third overall.

“Try to get to the front and manage the race from there, and hopefully the first stage goes well and then you can really just race free after that.”
